Marcello Monteiro changed my life
I was lucky enough to be one of Marcello Monteiro's first students and affiliates. When I met him, I was already a fairly decent purple belt and had trained with dozens of black belts. However, after the first time we trained together I knew there was something special about what Marcello was teaching and showing me.
Our training was so intense that I actually questioned everything I had ever learned in the past. I knew I had to either learn what he was doing or just stop wasting my time and pack up my bags and go home. My mind was swimming and I had mixed feelings of excitement from learning something so unique and disappointment from being humbled and knowing that I was about to have to relearn everything I ever thought that I knew.
I chose the correct path and I am now a proud black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Marcello Monteiro. Marcello taught me things on and off the mat that changed my life. He has stood by me when I had nothing and helped me to recover and manage a successful business. I can truly say that he is a friend and a mentor that I am proud to have.

They are more focused and determined and their game is constantly jumping by leaps and bounds. It is truly a great time to be part of the Marcello Monteiro Association.
I am forever thankful for the things Marcello Monteiro has taught and showed me and glad that I chose the right path for my students and myself.
